Elevate your game

Dear Friends:

By now, many of you are familiar with our series on my 7 Fs: Faith, Family, Friends, Fellowship, Fun, Fitness, and Finance. The 7 Fs are guiding principles which, I believe, are essential to living a life balanced in mind, body, and soul. This month, we will focus on Faith and Finance.

I was recently blessed with the opportunity to host a regular segment on “Sunday Praise with Liz Black”, 1190AM WLIB, focused on "Spiritual Wealth" where I offer spiritually-based tips on achieving wealth. I believe that one of the keys to achieving wealth is to be a responsible shepherd of whatever income you're able to generate. As Matthew 25:23 says, “Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things.” Key to understanding this principle is recognizing it's not about how much money you make, but rather, how much you keep. In my experience promoting spiritual and financial wealth, I have observed some universal mistakes people make when it comes to money.  The “Top 5 Financial Mistakes" I see people make are:

  1. Spending more than you earn
  2. Wasting money frivolously on things you don't need
  3. Not having a financial plan (if you fail to plan, you plan to fail)
  4. Taking on too much debt (especially credit cards)
  5. Unwillingness to sacrifice (prioritizing needs; for example, putting family first)

While these common financial missteps may come as no surprise, exercising the discipline required to avoid these costly mistakes is where the real work begins.  Understanding your core beliefs about money and taking the necessary action to improve your finances will set you up to receive the spiritual and financial blessings in store for each and every one of us!

Peace and blessings,

Randal

Randal Talks "Spiritual Wealth" With Liz Black

I was recently blessed with the opportunity to host a regular segment on “Sunday Praise with Liz Black”, 1190AM WLIB, focused on "Spiritual Wealth".  I am a firm believer that spiritual wealth is not derived from the abundance of material possessions but rather being content with what God has already given you. In a recent interview with the show's host Liz Black, 2012 Stellar award nominee for “Radio Personality of the Year,” I offered practical, spiritually-based tips on achieving wealth.  “Sunday Praise with Liz Black” airs on 1190AM WLIB ("The Praise and Inspiration Station") 12 pm–3 pm or online here. Your financial blessing awaits you!
